Grinds the fruit and vegetables then pushes the extracted juice through a strainer by spinning at a very high rpm (similar to your washing machine on the spin cycle). The pulp from the produce is disposed of out the back of the juicer into a container in pulp ejecting versions. The centrifugal juicer is usually the fastest juicers to juice with if time is a consideration. Most juicers sold on the market are centrifugal.
Best for: Centrifugal juicers do an okay job with greens but will not juice wheat grass.
Pros: Fast, cheaper, can juice almost anything except bananas, avocados.
Breville has models that has a Titanium blade, which reduces the heat for less oxidation.
Cons: Less juice and lower quality. A steal blade generates more heat and juice oxidizes, so consider the Breville Titanium blade.
These type of juicers provide a higher quality and yields more juice than Centrifugal juicers. Some like to juice multiple times a day to assure the juice is the freshest. Downside is they are much slower and time consuming, especially if you what to juice 1 or 2 gallons at a time.
There are many brands and models to choose from that run under $500.
